1997

Mrs Sharon Austen, an experienced educator with over 25 years in teaching, recognised the need for affordable, quality private education. She founded Athena Preparatory with just 18 learners from Grade R to Grade 3.

1999

As enrolments grew, Mrs Austen appointed dedicated educators to join her team. Mr Glenn Austen became the school’s Financial Officer, providing strong support for the school’s continued growth.

2000

The school expanded to include a high school. With registration extended by the Gauteng Department of Education, Athena Preparatory evolved into Victory House Private School.

2002

Land was purchased on Golf Club Terrace, establishing the school’s permanent campus and laying the foundation for continued growth.

today

Victory House Private School proudly accommodates approximately 700 learners from Grade R to Grade 12 and continues to be known for academic excellence, strong moral values and a nurturing learning environment.
